Cycle Selector (Timer) Control
ACCUDRY™ System
ACCUDRY cycles may be used to dry most loads. Your dryer
uses the electronic ACCUDRY system. The control senses the
moisture level in the load and shuts off when the load reaches the
selected dryness.
The cycle control knob does not move until the load is almost dry.
After the Cool Down, the knob automatically turns to an Off area
and tumbling stops.
Most loads may be dried using the Energy Preferred setting. At
the end of the cycle, check the dryness of the load.
If the load is drier than you like, you may select a setting closer
to Less Dry the next time you dry a similar load.
If a load is not as dry as you like, you may complete drying
using a Timed cycle. You may select a setting closer to Very
Dry the next time you dry a similar load.
NOTE: Drying time with an automatic cycle varies according to
the type of fabric, size of load, and temperature setting.
WRINKLE SHIELD™ Setting
Optional
You may set the WRINKLE SHIELD™ selector knob to ON.
Dryer will periodically start and stop, tumbling the load without
heat for up to 90 minutes after the cycle ends.
WRINKLE SHIELD™ Plus Setting
You may choose 30 or 90 minutes of periodic unheated
tumbling after the cycle ends.
NOTE: A signal will sound periodically when the WRINKLE
SHIELD™ setting is selected, but only if the End of Cycle signal is
also selected.
TIMED DRYING
These cycles may be used to complete drying if items are still
damp after the automatic cycle.
Timed Drying is also useful for:
Heavyweight or bulky items that require a longer drying time.
Lightweight items that require a short drying time.
Temperature Control
You may select a drying temperature based on the fabrics in your
load. If you are unsure of the temperature to select for a load,
select the lower setting rather than the higher setting.
Temperature Tips
If your dryer has multiple heat settings:
A high heat setting may be used for drying heavyweight items
such as towels and work clothes.
A low to medium heat setting may be used for drying medium-
weight items such as sheets, blouses, dresses, underwear,
permanent press fabrics, and some knits.
An extra-low heat setting may be used for drying lightweight
items such as lingerie.
You may use a no heat (air) setting for rubber, plastic or heat-
sensitive fabrics.
Line dry bonded or laminated fabrics.
NOTE: If you have questions about drying temperatures for
various loads, refer to the care label directions.
End of Cycle Signal Control
The End of Cycle signal sounds when a cycle is complete. On
some models the End of Cycle Signal is fixed. On others the End
of Cycle Signal is selectable and the signal will sound only if set to
On.
If the WRINKLE SHIELD™ feature is selected and the End of
Cycle Signal is on, the signal sounds every few minutes. The
signal stops when you open the door or turn the Cycle Control
knob to Off.
Drying Rack
(Optional on some models)
The drying rack is useful for machine drying items you would not
necessarily want to tumble dry or that you would normally line dry
(for example, pillows, stuffed toys).
For information on ordering, please refer to the service numbers
located on the front page of the dryer user instructions or contact
the dealer from whom you purchased your dryer.
