EATURES
 
1.  The UV-500C is equipped with a three speed control to allow the user to adjust the airflow through the unit 
from 30 cfm to 70 cfm. Any speed is effective in rooms up to 500 square feet. 
2.  The UV-500C is equipped with a circuit board to monitor the operation of the UV lamp and the operation time 
until the filter or lamp needs to be changed.  
III. 
UV-500C SET UP PROCEDURE  
1. 
Remove the lamp from the top carton pad. 
2. 
Remove the lamp connector from the bagged parts provided. 
3. 
Remove the UV-500C from its protective plastic bag. 
WARNING:  DO NOT PLUG INTO WALL OUTLET! 
4. 
Connect the UV lamp to the lamp connector knob (See Figure 1) 
5. 
Clean the lamp with the alcohol swab provided. (See Figure 2) 
NOTE: Dirt and fingerprints will reduce lamp output and effectiveness. 
6. 
Open the lamp access door on the back of the unit. 
7.  Insert the ceramic tip of the lamp into the UV port and twist the lamp connector 
clockwise to lock in place. (See Figure 3) 
8.  With unit still UNPLUGGED, insert the lamp power connector into the recessed 
receptacle on the unit. (See Figure 4) 
9. 
Close the access door and install the access door screw provided in the bagged parts. 
(See Figure 5) 
WARNING: Never expose eyes or skin to UVC light from any source. Looking directly at the UVC light may cause permanent eye damage or
blindness.  Never operate the UV-Aire™ Air Purifying System with the UV chamber door open. Avoid touching the glass portion of the
lamp with your hands.
