Troubleshooting
1
Battery Power – Battery does not last
a
Ensure that the battery indicates fully charged following an over night charge (solid orange).
b
Check the Battery Info screen to determine the number of cycles on the battery pack. A cycle count between 300 and
500 cycles depending on usage environment is an indicator that the battery has reached 70% of original capacity, which is
the industry standard for end of cycle life battery.
c
Following a full charge, if the battery does not last, replace it with a new battery.

Spinning Hour Glass
a
Wait – This is an indication that a process is in progress.  Processing times vary based on the activity.
b
If the process does not complete within a reasonable amount of time, depress and hold the ALT and depress TAB ( two opposing
arrows ) keys to activate Task Manager.  Select application and depress End Task to exit applications.
c
Restart applications and try the specific operation again.
d
If this results in a spinning hour glass, connect external power.  Perform a soft reset (Contrast + and - keys depressed for six
(6) seconds).

Lock-ups
a
Determine if touchscreen or keyboard inputs are recognized.
b
Attempt to recalibrate touchscreen.  Depress CTRL and ALT and = keys simultaneously to calibrate touchscreen.
c
If touchscreen calibration does not resolve, depress and hold the ALT and depress TAB ( two opposing arrows ) keys to activate
Task Manager. Depress End Task to exit applications.
d
Restart applications and try the specific operation again.
e
If restarting applications does not resolve, connect external power. Perform a soft reset (Contrast + and - keys depressed for
six (6) seconds).

RF Communication
a
If coverage is historically good at this location, check the signal strength.  Reposition the computer slightly to increase signal
strength.  Wait approximately five (5) minutes.  Determine if there is message traffic up to and down from the network.
b
If not resolved, exit all applications, restart the applications, and try RF communications again.
c
If not resolved, connect external power and perform a soft reset (Contrast + and keys depressed for six (6) seconds).
d
Restart applications and try RF communications again.
