Release Notes for Cisco Video Surveillance IP Camera and IP Dome Firmware Release 4.0.1

Features
Cisco Video Surveillance IP camera and IP dome firmware release 4.0.1 supports the following features:
H.264 encoding—This release supports H.264 encoding for primary and secondary video streams.
MPEG4 encoding—This release supports MPEG-4 encoding for primary and secondary video 
streams.
MJPEG encodeing—This release supports MJPEG encoding.
Motion detection—Motion can be detected in up to four designated fields of view by analyzing 
changes in pixels and generating an alert if motion is detected.
Flexible scheduling—You can configure an IP camera or IP dome to respond to events that occur 
within a designated schedule.
Mototized Focus and Zoom—For IP domes, the focus and zoom is remotely set from the 
web-based configuration software.
Important Notes
Caution
For IP domes, do not attempt to manually adjust the focus or zoom. Doing so may damage the lens. 
Instead, use the Focus/Zoom window in the configuration software to remotely set the focus and zoom.
