3.4  EmsSession::EmsSession_I 
The emsSession module enables the client to query the EMS to determine the manager interfaces that the 
EMS supports. The NMS retrieves an instance of the required manager interface objects. This interface is 
inherited from session::Session_I.

3.4.1  getEventChannel 
Synopsis 
Description 
This interface enables an NMS to access the event channel to receive notifications. Prime Optical 
publishes the name of the notification channel through the naming service. You can use the naming 
service to get the corresponding object reference.

3.4.2  GetManager 
Synopsis 
Description 
This interface enables an NMS to access the specified manager interface. 
Parameters

Class or type of manager object that the

managerInterface  common::Common_I  Out 
The actual object returned implements the 
specified manager interface. However, it is 
returned as a Common_I object, so the 
operation can be generic. The client 
narrows the returned object to the correct 
object type.
