The following the outline of the steps how to print using the TCP/IP protocol in Windows 2000.
NOTE
• If the firewall, etc. intercepts the communication between the printer and your computer, it
will be unable to use this printing method.
Step 1: Setting up TCP/IP on the computer
Make sure that the TCP/IP protocol is installed. Refer to
Step 2: Setting up TCP/IP for the printer
Step 3: Setting up the printer driver and the printer port on the 
computer
