 Wit hin Windows Explorer highlight  t he file (or folder) you want  t o check

 Right -click your mouse over t he object  t o open t he cont ext  menu

 Select  t he Scan with AVG  opt ion t o have t he file scanned wit h AVG

Within  AVG 8.5 Anti-Virus t here is t he option of running t he scan from t he command
line. You can use t his option for inst ance on servers, or when creat ing a batch script
t o be launched aut omatically aft er t he comput er boot . From t he command line, you
can launch t he scanning with most  parameters as offered in AVG graphical user
int erface.

To launch AVG scan from t he command line, run t he following command within t he
folder where AVG is installed:

 avgscanx for 32 bit s OS

 avgscana for 64 bit s OS
