Configuration
The computer must be set to match the fixed data
configuration of the analyzer, which is:
8.2.3 RS232­C Function Commands
The RS­232C interface can be used as follows:
•  By direct hookup to a non­MacIntosh® based
computer A program on disc can be obtained from   
Rosemount Analytical for remote control. Cable
length must less than 150 feet.
• By direct hookup to a non­intelligent terminal. No    
program disc is required. Cable length must be less 
than 150 feet.
•   By communication through a modem. One modem   
located at the analyzer can communicate over a
telephone network to another modem hooked up to   
an IBM PC or compatible computer or a non­intelli­  
gent terminal.
Pin configuration is described in Table 8­4.

8.2
Computer Interface
The computer interface is an RS232­C serial data
interchange port operating at 1200 baud. The serial port
receives the same information as the printer, and has the
capability to transmit information, enabling remote
control of the analyzer.
8.2.1 
Data Output Format
The data output formats contain no control characters,
with the exception of <CR> carriage return, <LF> line
feed, and the preamble/post amble described below:
