5 Troubleshooting
“Off/Flashing/On” means that the
LED can be off, or fl ashing, or on.
CONDITION: Power indicator is
off
and power switch is not illu-
minated.
POSSIBLE REASON:
•  The amplifi er has lost AC power.
•  The amplifi er is not plugged into the
power receptacle.
•  Rear-panel breaker is off.
CONDITION: Power indicator
is off
 and power switch is illu-
minated.
POSSIBLE REASON:
•  The amplifi er’s power switch is off.
CONDITION: Power indicator is
fl ashing.
POSSIBLE REASON
•  The AC line voltage has dropped below
15% or has risen above 15% of the
rated range.
CONDITION: Thermal indicator is
on.
POSSIBLE REASON:
•  The amplifi er is becoming too hot for safe
operation. Allow amplifi er to cool. Check for
loads less than 2 ohms, and for excessive
input levels. Check for proper ventilation.
CONDITION: Fault indicator is
fl ashing.
POSSIBLE REASON:
•  The amplifi er channel has stopped
operating. Refer the unit to an authorized
Crown Service Center.
CONDITION: Power indicator is
off
and power switch is not illu-
minated.
POSSIBLE REASON:
•  Load is wired incorrectly or Output Mode
switch in LCD-screen menu is set incor-
rectly. Check both.
•  Input is overloaded by a signal level that
is too high. Turn down your amplifi er level
controls (Encoders), or turn down the
input signal, until the clip light goes out.
Note: If the signal sounds distorted even
though the Clip LED is off, the input signal
may be distorted before it reaches the
amplifi er input. Check gain staging and
output levels of the mixer or preamp.
