To set the date and time later, press the “BACK” button.

If you do not set the date and time, this confirmation
screen will appear each time you switch the camera on.
When you first switch the camera on, the date is
cleared. Press the “MENU/OK” button to set the
date and time.
To switch the camera on, set the Power switch
to “
q
” or “
Q
”. When you switch the camera on,
the indicator lamp lights green.
To switch the camera off, set the Power switch
to “OFF”.
When you select “
U
” mode, the lens moves out.
Take care not to obstruct the lens as it is a
precision component.
Obstructing the lens will cause a malfunction or
fault and the “
” or “
¬
message will appear. Take care also not to get
fingerprints on the camera lens as this will result
in impaired image quality in your shots.

Hour or Minute.

” to correct the setting.
Press the “MENU/OK” button to switch to
photography or playback mode.

To set the time precisely, press the “MENU/OK” button
when the time is at zero seconds.

Once the AC power adapter has been connected or the
batteries have been installed for an hour or more, the
camera will retain the specified date and time for
approximately 10 days without power (with the batteries
removed and AC power adapter disconnected).

If you hold down “
a
” or “
b
”, the numbers change
continuously.

When the time displayed passes “12:00:00”, the AM/PM
setting automatically switches.
