Downloading Pictures And 

Video Clips Onto Your Computer

Note for all Windows users: DO NOT connect the camera 
to your computer via the USB cable BEFORE the successful 
installation of the camera driver.

Note: Windows 98SE and 2000 users must install DirectX 9 
to view video clips on your computer.

1.   Turn the Mode Dial to any modes except the PC Cam mode.
2.   Connect the supplied USB cable to the computer’s USB port.
3.   The camera will automatically turn on. 

•  

“Mass Storage” is displayed on the LCD.

4.    a)   For Windows XP, the Windows Wizard will launch. You

  

 may select  “Open folders to view fi les” from the listed  

 

 

operation items, then click  

 

 

OK  to proceed to Step 5 below.  

 

For selecting the  other listed    

 

operation items, follow the  

 

 

on-screen instructions to 

 

 proceed and complete.

b)    For Windows 98SE/2000/XP,    

 

double click on My Computer.

5.     Double click on Removable Disk.
6.     Double click DCIM.
7.     Double-click the folder that contains the de-

sired images to view.

The stored pictures (JPG) and video clips (AVI) stored in the  

 

memory will be displayed.

8.   Click and drag the fi les into a directory in your computer to save them.

•  

To select all fi les, click Edit > Select all.
