Upgrading The Operating System from MIDI
As well as being updateable from USB (see page 46) the operating system can be updated by playing a
‘.MID’ standard MIDI file from a sequencer into the MIDI in port. The latest version of the operating system
which Novation may publish from time to time is available for download free of charge from the Novation
web site :

To install the operating system, power up the ReMOTE 25 while simultaneously holding down the F2, F3 &
F4 buttons. Play the operating system file from a connected sequencer.

It is also possible for a ReMOTE 25 to transmit the currently installed operating system (for example to
directly update another connected ReMOTE 25) by powering up the ReMOTE while simultaneously hold-
