INSTALLATION
A= Clearance above grade, veranda, porch, deck, or balcony *(min. 12"/30cm)
B= Clearance to window or door that may be opened *(12"/30cm) #(9"/23cm)
C= Clearance to permanently closed window *(min. 12"/30cm)
D= Vertical clearance to ventilated soffi t located above the terminal within a horizontal distance of (24"/60cm) from the centerline of the terminal

Note:
- A vent shall not terminate directly above a sidewalk or paved driveway which is located between two single family dwellings and serves both
dwellings.
- Only permitted if veranda, porch, deck, or balcony is fully open on a minimum of two sides beneath the fl oor.
- If the vent termination is accessible, a certifi ed guard shall be installed.
