Flow range limits
The reference condition flow range limits for SeniorSonic
TM
Meters (pipe sizes from 100 mm to
900 mm) are listed in the appendix tables (
).
The meter capacity at reference (base) conditions of pressure and temperature may be
calculated as shown in
Equation 2-1  Meter capacity - reference conditions of pressure and temperature
where
= flow rate at reference conditions (Nm
3
/h; Scfh)
= flow rate at flowing conditions (m
3
/h; cfh)
= absolute pressure at flowing conditions (Pa; psia)
= absolute pressure at reference conditions (Pa; psia)
= absolute temperature at reference conditions (K; R)
= absolute temperature at flowing conditions (K; R)
= compressibility of gas at reference conditions
(dimensionless)
= compressibility of gas at flowing conditions
(dimensionless)
Daniel should be consulted before establishing the actual meter capacity for a particular
application.
