The systemphone keys are programmed with Lines 1-8 in the case of the eight key set and Lines 1-16 in the
case of the sixteen key set.
If the switch is programmed with a T1 interface pressing Line 1 will select the first T1 line, selecting Line 2
will select the second line etc.
If the switch is programmed with a T1 PRI interface pressing Line 1 will request a B channel from the
network. The line offered may not be the first B Channel. However the Led associated with Line 1 key will
light on all systemphones.
Any backup CO Lines equipped will be numbered 25 - 28 when the interface is programmed as T1 and 24 -
27 when the interface is programmed as Primary Rate ISDN.
If more than 16 Line keys are required the keys on a DSS unit can be programmed. The same procedure
applies to these keys. In the case of T1 the Line key pressed will select the corresponding T1 line and in the
case of T1 PRI the network will determine the B Channel.
