You can delete the PIN by not entering any PIN in both menus but by only pressing the
softkey.

Configure LED Signalling for Messages
In the idle state the LED near the message key shows the condition of the caller list:

LED flashes: In the list are new entries that have not yet been viewed.

LED glows: There are no new entries. All the entries in the list have been read but not
deleted.
