Adjusting the Mower Deck

Before performing any service or adjustment check list:
1. Engage the parking brake.
2. Place the blade-switch in the disengaged position.
3. Turn ignition switch to “OFF” position and remove the key.
4. Make sure the blades and all moving parts have completely stopped.
5. Disconnect the spark plug wire from all spark plugs and place the wire where it
cannot come in contact with the plug.

Deck Leveling

1. Position the mower on a level, hard surface.
2. Check the pressure in all four tires. See

“Technical Data” section in the Operator’s
Manual.

3. Set deck cutting height at 4’’.
4. Rotate blades to align front to back.
5. Measure front blade tip,should be 4’’ from

ground. If not turn locknut on top of front
eyebolt until measurement is achieved.
Check blade tip at front on opposite front
blade. Adjust locknut on front eyebolt as
necessary.

6. Check rear blade measurement, should be

4 1/4’’ from ground. If not turn locknut on top
of rear eyebolt to achieve measurement.
Repeat procedure on opposite side.

8. If deck leveling cannot be achieved call

hands with gloves and/or wrap
blades with a heavy cloth when
handling.
