QoS
When you configure QoS (Quality of Service) on the access point, you can select specific network
traffic, prioritize it, and use congestion‐management and congestion‐avoidance techniques to
provide preferential treatment. Implementing QoS in your wireless LAN makes network
performance more predictable and bandwidth utilization more effective.

The access point uses a weighted‐fair queuing scheme. Precedence is granted to the highest
priority based on a weighted queuing scheme of all priorities, granting all priorities the ability to
transmit/receive data.

Eight priority classes are defined. Network managers determine actual mappings. The highest
priority is seven and the lowest priority is 0. For example, if you select 5 as the priority, 5 receives
higher priority than those set with 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4 and lower priority than those set with 6 and 7 as
their priority.

Using Web Management
Select QoS from the menu. The QoS Settings and Status page appears. The QoS mode selections
are displayed in the following screen.
