VX7 Reference Guide 

The coldboot utility sets all registry settings back to LXE factory defaults. No other clearing is 
available or necessary. 

This VX7 keyboards illuminate the individual keys 

 The keyboard is manually controlled by pressing <2

> + <CTRL> + <F10> when using the 60-

key keyboard.  This key sequence immediately changes the state of the keyboard backlight as 
follows: 

•  Turns the backlight Off if it is currently On. 
•  Turns the backlight On if it is currently Off. 

 

 

The keyboard backlight is manually controlled using the “backlight” key in the upper 
right hand corner of the keyboard.  Pressing the backlight key cycles the keyboard 
backlight through the levels of backlight intensity: 

•  Off 
•  Maximum intensity 
•  Medium intensity 
•  Low intensity. 

There are two networking options available for the VX7: 

•  Wireless radios 
•  Ethernet (RJ-45) connector. 

Please refer to the appropriate section in Chapter 5, “Wireless Network Configuration” for 
configuring the Summit, Cisco or Symbol radio. 

When the VX7 is networked using the Ethernet connector, the VX7’s networking options are set 
via the Microsoft Windows CE Control Panel.
