Paper Type
Contains a list of the standard and custom paper types supported by your Xerox system.
Select an option from the list to specify the paper type for the entire print job, or for any
special pages if you are setting up covers, inserts, or exception pages.
NOTE
If you select the Transparency paper type, Paper Color automatically changes
to Clear. If you specify a paper/media type that is not currently loaded in the
printer, the job will be held in the printer until the required paper/media is loaded
in one of the trays.
Paper Weight (gsm)
Specifies the weight of the paper for the entire print job, or for any special pages such
as covers, inserts, or exception pages. For some printers, you can enter a specific weight.
Other printers use more generic options. Here is an example:
• Normal: 52 to 84 grams per square meter (gsm)
• Medium: 85 to 105 gsm
• Heavy: 106 to 220 gsm
The weights that appear in the menu depend on the machine being used.
Hole Punched Paper
Specifies if hole punched paper is required for the entire print job, or for any special
pages if you are setting up covers, inserts, or exception pages.
• Printer Default or Use Job Setting for Special Pages.
• No: No hole punched paper is required for the print job.
• Yes: Hole punched paper is required to print the job.
Comment (Optional)
Allows you to record any additional information or tips you need to remember when
using a particular named paper. You may want to include notes about which paper to
use for a recurring print job, how a particular paper is used within your organization, or
any other information you may find useful. The information recorded in the field is for
your benefit only and is not transmitted to the print server.
NOTE
This field cannot exceed 255 characters.
Sides Coated
Indicates whether the named paper is coated or uncoated and whether one or both
sides of the page are coated.
• Printer Default or Use Job Setting for Special Pages.
• Uncoated: The named paper has no coating.
• One Sided: One side of the named paper is coated.
• Two Sided: Both sides of the named paper is coated.
