Anti-Aliasing
.
Use this drop-down menu to turn the anti-aliasing feature on or off.
Anti-aliasing is a process by which the jagged edges or "stair-step" distortions in
computer-generated (digital) graphic images are removed or reduced. This is
accomplished by filling the jagged edges with gray or color to make the aliasing less
noticeable.
Available options are:
• Printer Default
• On: Turn the anti-aliasing feature on.
• Off: Turn the anti-aliasing feature off.
Resolution
.
Change this setting to adjust the amount of detail that is reproduced on graphic images.
Graphics resolution is measured in dots per inch (dpi). A 600 dpi setting renders images
using 600 dots (pixels) for every inch of the image. A higher resolution produces better
print quality.
Some Xerox products also enable you to choose the number of gray levels. This setting
defines how many shades of gray each pixel can support.
Select one of the following settings:
• Printer Default
• 300x300 dpi: 300 x 300 dpi
• 600x600: 600 x 600 dpi
• 1200x600: 1200 x 600 dpi
• 1200x1200: 1200 x 1200 dpi
NOTE
Some features are only supported by specific printers, operating systems, or driver
types (PostScript or PCL). You may see more features or options listed than what
your specific system supports.
