You can select one or both of the following settings to change how an image is printed:
• Negative Image:
Reverses the light and dark areas in your printed image and prints the document as
though it were a photographic negative. Black image areas in the original are
converted to white, the white image areas to black, and any dark gray image areas
to light gray. Printing a negative image may be useful for documents that have a
substantial amount of dark background or light text and images.
CAUTION
Excessive use of the Negative Image setting can cause premature dry ink
depletion and possible printer damage.
• Mirror Image: Flips images horizontally on pages when printed.

Image Shift Summary
You can view the current image shift settings in the Image Shift summary box on the
The Setup button opens a dialog where you can specify the settings to shift a page
image along the X and/or Y axes.
NOTE
You can access Image Shift options on the 
 dialog. Selections made on the Image Options tab or
dialog affect the whole document (or background form). Selections made on the
Add Exceptions dialog affect only the specified pages.

Appears when you click Setup below the 
 summary window on the 
 tab or when you click
the Setup button on the Image Options tab on the Exception Pages window.
With Image Shift options you can modify the location of the image on the page. You
can shift the image along the X and/or Y axes in increments of a tenth of an inch or a
millimeter.
