Receiving Jobs from Multi-Function Devices
The purpose of the Send to Production feature is to allow
documents to be scanned from Multi-Function Devices (MFDs)
and submitted to production print shops where high volumes and
special finishing options can be processed. This will reduce MFD
contention when either large documents or large quantities are
needed, and will allow MFDs to stay within their duty cycles.
The feature supports the following four MFD product series:
WorkCentre 2xx - half panel mono
WorkCentre 56xx - half panel mono
WorkCentre 73xx (1.221.5 or 1.231.5 or later) - full panel color
WorkCenter 76xx - full panel color
FreeFlow Output Manager queues can be designated to appear
as “Job Templates” to the MFD. The settings for the templates are
derived from the queue settings. Because of the limited number of
attributes that can be set at the MDF, the Output Manager queue
can be setup with default attributes that will be applied to any job
