Portlets rewritten in HTML
The following Portlets in the Prime Home 6.3 UI have been redesigned using HTML: Device View,
Quick Actions, Device Properties, Alerts and Wireless. This ensures alignment with industry standards
and less network traffic between client and server thereby speeding up performance times. Note that
functionality has not changed.

Privacy Management
There are now several ways to exclude an end-user’s personal TV viewing details from being displayed
on Prime Home UI. When setting up a Set-Top Box initially, Prime Home can set opt-in/opt-out
preferences for the device. This means that when a CSR clicks on the relevant Portlet (DVR, VOD or
PDL) information on the end-user’s movies and programs will not be displayed and the CSR will get a
message explaining that the end-user has requested confidentiality.

In addition, other privacy options are available to protect the end-user’s data such as a message to the
CSR requesting permission to display sensitive data.

AMS Samples
Prime Home now supports collecting Audience Measurement samples from Set-Top Boxes. This
includes data and statistics on the programs and movies that the end-user has watched. These samples
can be used for subsequent marketing and/or advertising purposes.
