Unlocking a User Account
Note: This topic applies to the OS login accounts on the DNCS, the RNCS, and the
Application Server. Account locking is not applicable to the WebUI users on the
DNCS.
1 Open an xterm window on the system.

Log into the system as root:
a At the prompt, type

and press Enter.
b Type the root password and press Enter.

passwd -s [username]
and press Enter to display the user account

Result: The user account is unlocked. The user account retains the original
