Before removing the display assembly, follow these steps:

Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn the

computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.

Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.

Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet

and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.

Remove the battery (see 

Disconnect the wireless antenna cables from the WLAN module (see 

).

Remove the following components:

a. Accessory cover (see 

)

b. Keyboard (see 

Top cover (see 

Remove the display assembly:

Disconnect the display panel cable (1) from the system board.

Disconnect the TouchScreen cable (2) from the system board (TouchScreen computer

models only).

Release the display panel cable and the TouchScreen cable from the routing channel (3) built into

the base enclosure.

Release the wireless antenna cables (4) from the opening in the base enclosure.
