Replacing the Lamp
The lamp lasts up to 3000 hours when the projector is used in Theatre Black mode. Lamp life
results vary depending upon environmental conditions and usage. Turn the projector off
when not in use. Continuous 24-hour-a-day use may reduce the overall life of this product.
It’s time to replace the lamp when:
The projection image gets darker or starts to deteriorate.
The projector’s warning light flashes red.
The message
Replace the lamp
 appears on the screen.
Contact your dealer or call Epson at (800) 873-7766 in the
United States for a replacement lamp. Request part number
V13H010L29
. In Canada, call (800) 463-7766 for dealer referral.
Be sure to read the “Important Safety Information” on page 5 before replacing the lamp.
Warning: Let the lamp cool before replacing it. If the lamp breaks, handle the shards
carefully to avoid injury. If your projector is mounted on the ceiling, take it down before
beginning this procedure.
The lamp component contains mercury. Please consult your state and local regulations
regarding proper disposal or recycling, and do not place in the trash.
Caution: Never touch the lamp with your bare hands; the invisible residue left by the oil on
your hands may shorten the lamp life. Use a cloth or gloves to handle the new lamp.
Note: Although an air filter is included with the lamp, you cannot use it with the projector. If
you need to replace the air filter, ask for part number V13H134A04 when you contact your
dealer or Epson. See page 27 for details on ordering.
