Outdoor requirements (long cable runs)

The following diagram shows an overview of the RF antenna connections for long cable
runs.

The following list specifies outdoor requirements for long cable runs:
• If cable length between the RRH and the antenna is comprised of a jumper and any

other length of antenna cable, then the cable must be grounded at the antenna, and at
the transition point between the two cables. Additionally the cable span must be
grounded every 30 meters.

• External surge suppression between the cable segments and/or directly to the

Alcatel-Lucent B25 RRH4x30 is optional.
