Charging of the ZONITH Bluetooth LE ID Badge™ is done via the Micro 
B USB connector. Use a standard USB connection or charger 
supporting: 5V - 150mA. 

During charging, the LED shows a solid Blue color. When the badge is 
fully charged, the LED either turns off or fall back to normal state. 

If during operation the battery level goes low the LED starts flashing 
RED every 4 seconds to indicate the badge need to be recharged. 

With a fully charged battery, the expected operational time is above 3 
months. 

To power ON the ZONITH Bluetooth LE ID Badge™ you have to press 
and hold the POWER button for 2 seconds. When powered ON the LED 
will flash blue every 4 seconds (normal operation). 

To turn OFF the device you have to press and hold the POWER button 
for 5 seconds. When powered OFF the LED turns off. 

The ZONITH Bluetooth LE ID Badge™ supports two types of alarms or 
events from the ALARM button at the back, defined by a double click and 
a long button press. 

Double click 

Two “click and release” of the 
button in less than 1 second 

Long button press 

Press and hold the button in at 
least 2 seconds 

The action that is initiated based on the two types of alarms are defined 
in the ZONITH Alarm Control System (ACS). 

The ZONITH Bluetooth LE ID Badge™ stays in any of the alarm states 
for 2 minutes. If the user performed the double click the LED will flash 
red every second. If the user performed the long button press the LED 
will be solid red. The long button press override the LED behavior so that 
if long button press is performed shortly after double click the LED will be 
solid RED. When the ZONITH Bluetooth LE ID Badge™ leaves the 
alarm state the LED will switch back to a flashing blue light every 4 
seconds. 

If the user wish to leave the alarm state faster than the 2 minutes the 
ZONITH Bluetooth LE ID Badge™ has to be powered off and powered 
on again.     

The ALARM button is located in the center on the back side of the unit. 
The alarm button is marked with a 2 mm. circle around it so that the 
users easily can find it without looking at the badge itself. 

The LED is used to indicate the state of the ZONITH Bluetooth LE ID 
Badge™. The different modes it can display are: 

Turned off 

The badge is turned off. This is also the 
situation if the badge is connected to a charger 
and the charging is complete. 

Solid blue 

The badge is being charged. 

Flashing blue (4 
seconds) 

The badge is turned on and in normal 
operation. 

Solid red 

The badge is in long button alarm state. 

Flashing red (1 
second) 

The badge is in double click alarm state 
NOTE: If long button press is also active then it 
will show solid red. 

Flashing red (4 
seconds) 

The badge is low on battery and needs re-
charging. 

It is possible to turn off the LED manually while the badge continues to 
operate normally. 

To turn off the LED, press and hold the POWER button for 0.5 seconds. 
To turn the LED on again press and hold the POWER button for 0.5 
seconds.
