The DAC5681/81z/82z EVM provides a robust and flexible evaluation system for the 16-bit, 1GSPS
DAC5681/DAC5681z/DAC5682z DAC family. In addition to the DAC, the EVM includes a CDCM7005 for
clock distribution and in the DAC5682z option a TRF3703 analog quadrature modulator path for RF
measurements. For a complete hardware description, consult the schematics and layout sections at the
end of this guide. See the DAC5681, DAC5681z, DAC5682z, CDCM7005, and TRF3703 data sheets for
more information on each device.

the DAC5682z EVM option includes three Texas Instruments components that make the entire solution an
excellent choice for radio systems.

The DAC5681/81z/82z is a family of high-performance, 16-bit, 1.0-GSPS DACs with wideband LVDS data
input and internal voltage reference. The family integrates a wideband LVDS port with on-chip termination.
An on-chip delay lock loop (DLL) simplifies LVDS interfacing by providing skew control fot the LVDS input
data clock.
