Hardware Description

The Vanguard 342 motherboard contains 8 Megabytes of Non-Volatile FLASH on 
board and has 32 Megabytes of SDRAM (synchronous DRAM) on an attached 
DIMM.

These components are included on the motherboard:

• Connectors for:

- FLASH expansion: 8 Megabyte SIMM on board 

- AES Data Compression/Encryption SIMM (optional)

- Two Vanguard Daughtercard slots

- Fan

• A battery that provides power for the unit’s real time clock

• Two 10/100BaseT Ethernet (RJ-45connectors)

• Control Terminal Port (RJ-45connector)

• DB-25 Connector
