VCR connected to VCR 1 OUT, or digital recording equipment
connected to DIGITAL OPTICAL OUT.

prepare it for recording.

With a VCR, you can record any analog source except TAPE and
VCR 1/VCR 2.
With digital recording equipment, you can record any digital source
without copy protection.
