Using the CLI
CLI commands are grouped into a series of menus and submenus (see
). Each menu contains a list of available commands and a
summary of each command function.
You can enter menu commands at the prompt that follows each menu.
Global commands
Basic commands are recognized throughout the menu hierarchy. Use the global
commands in

to obtain online help, navigate through menus, and apply

Placed at the beginning of a command, returns to the Main menu. Placed within a
command string, the character separates multiple commands on the same line.

TIP: Type

at any prompt in the CLI to go to the System menu.
Also type
/cfg/sys

apply
Apply pending configuration changes.
diff
Show any pending configuration changes.
revert
Remove pending configuration changes between
apply
commands. TIP: Use
revert
to restore configuration parameters set after the most recent apply
command.
