Use this menu to set up your Internet connection. See 

 for background information. To open this menu, enter 4 in the main menu.

                    Encapsulation= PPPoE

                      My Login= hello

                      Idle Timeout= 100

                    IP Address Assignment= Dynamic
                      IP Address= N/A
                      IP Subnet Mask= N/A
                      Gateway IP Address= N/A
                    Network Address Translation= SUA Only

ISP’s Name

Enter the name of the ISP.

Encapsulation

Select the type of encapsulation your ISP uses. If you select PPPoE and then 

save your changes, the ZyXEL Device asks you if you want to test the settings.

The next fields are only available if your ISP uses PPPoE encapsulation.

My Login

Enter the user name provided by your ISP.

My Password

Enter the password provided by your ISP.

Retype to Confirm

Enter the password again.

Idle Timeout

Enter the number of seconds the ZyXEL Device should wait while there is no 

Internet traffic before it automatically disconnects from the ISP. Enter a time 

interval between 10 and 9999 seconds.

IP Address 

Assignment

Select Dynamic if your ISP did not give you a fixed (static) IP address. Select 

Static if your ISP gave you a fixed (static) IP address. The next three fields are 

not available if you select Dynamic.

IP Address

Enter the fixed (static) IP address provided by your ISP.

IP Subnet Mask

This field is not available if your ISP uses PPPoE encapsulation. Enter the 

subnet mask provided by your ISP.
