• Select "On" or "Off" to determine whether or not to apply the VD2 synchronization method for the con-
nected camera. When a camera not supporting the VD2 synchronization method is connected, select
"Off" for "VD2".

• It is possible to compensate for the video signal transmission loss from the camera.

• The following cable length settings are references when using RG-59/U, BELDEN 9259 (for NTSC mod-
els), 5C-2V (for PAL models) or equivalent cables. 
S: Less than 400 m {1 300 ft.} 
M: 400 m {1 300 ft.} to 700 m {2 300 ft.} 
L: 700 m {2 300 ft.} to 1 200 m {4 000 ft.}

• When cameras with the different RS-485 protocols (for example, cameras manufactured by Panasonic
and those manufactured by Pelco, Inc.) in the same RS-485 communication line, the cameras will not 
work correctly.

• Select the communication protocol that is compliant with the specifications of the connected cameras.
