Mounting the Rack mount Ears

To mount the rack mount ears, the four magazines must be removed. To remove the magazines,
follow the instructions below:

1 Connect the power cord to the power connector on rear of the library.

2 Turn on the power switch on the rear of the library.

3 Wait until the library completes its power-on sequence.

4 Use the front panel interface to remove the magazines (Menu > Operations > Eject Magazine).

5 Physically remove the magazines from the library, see

6 If your library supports 24 magazine slots only, you need to use the emergency eject tool to

remove the two upper magazines. The emergency eject tool is located at the rear of the library.

7 Mount the ears to the chassis of the library, see

8 Gently reinsert the magazines into the library.
