1500 Series solution components can be ordered by individual part
numbers. Alternatively, for ease of ordering, you can specify a single part number that
expands to include certain components relevant to a particular installation. Note that for a
safety-compliant outdoor installation, you may need other items that are not included in
the bundle, such as surge arrestors.
Cisco Aironet 1500 Series Lightweight Outdoor Mesh Access Points can take either of two roles in
a mesh network: rooftop access point and pole top access point. Different accessories are
required for the different installations.
Minimally, the access point requires the following:
●
Power
●
One 2.4-GHz antenna
●
One 5-GHz antenna
If the access point is to be installed on a streetlight pole or equivalent, the following is also
required:
●
One pole-mount kit
If the access point is to be installed on a roof, where it will be wired to the network, the following is
also required:
●
One Ethernet cable
A pole-mount kit might also be required for installation on a roof, depending on the installation
method.
The rest of this ordering guide lists the part numbers for the various components of the Cisco
Aironet 1500 Series solution.
