SMS 
on a PABX
You can only receive a text message if Calling Line Identification is forwarded to 
the extension on the PABX (CLIP). 
The CLIP for the phone number of the SMS centre is evaluated in your telephone.
If your phone is connected to a PABX, you may have to prefix the number of the 
SMS centre with an access code (this depends on your PABX). You can store the access 
code in your base station (page 79). 
If in doubt, you can test your PABX, e. g. by sending a text message to your own number 
and putting the access code before the number of the SMS centre. If you do not receive 
this message, send another one, this time without the access code.
When you send text messages, your sender number may be sent without your extension 
number. In this case. the recipient cannot reply to you directly.

Text messages that cannot be sent are assigned an error status e. g. FD error: and are 
saved in the incoming message list.
The following error codes are displayed: 
You can display information about the cause of errors on the screen.
Requirement: You have opened the incoming message list (page 43).

You can create a special directory for text messages within your main 
directory by putting an star (*) before the names.

E0
Calling Line Identification is permanently deactivated (page 19).
FE
Error occurred during SMS transfer.
FD 
Connection to SMS centre failed.
Text messages cannot be sent or received if the number of an 
SMS centre is missing or incorrectly stored. Check that the number of 
the SMS centre has been correctly stored.

Wrong recipient phone number
Scroll to the text message you were unable to send.

Press the display key to open the menu.
Error status 
Select and confirm. The cause of the error appears in 
the display.
