Salamanca Airport
Salamanca Airport forms part of the Matacan public transport
system. It is situated fifteen kilometres to the east of the city, falling
within the municipal districts of Machacón, Calvarrasa de Abajo and
Villagonzalo de Tormes.
Salamanca Airport passenger terminal opened in 2005. It mainly
handles domestic flights, although international traffic is expected to
increase in coming years.
The network has two AT-9812T switches offering redundancy in
the core of the network. Comprehensive Quality of Service
features ensure high priority traffic gets precedence in the network.
The AT-9812T switches are connected with gigabit fiber to ten AT-
8624T/2M switches, providing high value for the large number of
ports in operation, and smart management of network resources.
Features on these switches effectively offer tiered security on each
port, perfect for deployment in unsecured areas such as visitor
meeting rooms and lounges.
