In addition to Salamanca and Vigo airports, Aena’s remaining
networks were specifically designed with products from the Allied
Telesis portfolio.
Allied Telesis met all of Aena’s requirements, but most importantly,
demonstrated the ability to deliver on its commitments as
promised throughout the sales cycle. As a result, Allied Telesis won
the selection process and is now the preferred supplier for
networking equipment in Aena managed airports.
Jose Carrasco (Aena’s Communication Manager) said,
“Allied Telesis solutions provide for all of the communications needs
an airport environment may have.Their product range suits any
type of airport, large or small. Allied Telesis solutions provide the
best value coupled with the high product quality we require”.
Key decision factors were:
•
Features
•
Performance
•
Ease of management
•
Scalability
•
Software and feature upgradeability
In the future, Aena will continue to deploy new multiservice networks
that support wider bandwidth and services like IP telephony (VoIP) and
Video for applications such as surveillance, advertising, information
panels, and so on.
Allied Telesis looks forward to continuing to supply Aena with
leading edge networking products for their business and network
requirements, as they meet the ever increasing demands placed on
their air traffic infrastructure.
