Errors Displayed Via Indicators
If any printer problem occurs, first look at the indicators on the control panel and see if the chart 
below can help. If that is not successful, then try the 'Errors Not Displayed Via Any Indicator" 
section. If the problem still persists, jot down the symptoms and any additional information, then 
contact your local Canon dealer for assistance.

Troubleshooting
POWER ONLINE ERROR ANALYSIS/REMEDY

The AC adapter is improperly connected or the power 
switch is turned off.

(The buzzer sounds 2 times in BJ-lOe mode, or 3 times in 
LQ mode.)
The printer is out of paper.
Load new paper and press the ON LINE switch to resume 
printing.

(The buzzer sounds continuously.) There is a paper jam, or 
paper longer than 15" has been loaded.
Fix the paper jam, or reload with appropriate paper. Press 
the LF/FF switch to feed the paper.

(The buzzer sounds continuously.) The carriage has not 
returned to the home position (far left position).
Turn the printer off and then back on again to reset it.

(The buzzer sounds 5 times.) There is a software error.
