Configuring TCP/IP or UDP Plus on the 700 Series
Before you can run the dcBrowser client, you need to configure your 700 
Series for networking and then configure dcBrowser to use either TCP/IP 
or UDP Plus.
The instructions you follow depend on the software your 700 Series is 
running:
• If your 700 Series is running Windows Mobile 2003 or Pocket PC 
2003, see the instructions in the next section.
• If your 700 Series is running Pocket PC 2002, see

Follow these steps to configure a 700 Series running Windows Mobile 2003 
or Pocket PC 2003.
To configure your 700 Series for networking

Select Start > Settings. The Control Panel appears.

Tap the Connections tab.

Tap Connections.

Tap the Advanced tab.

Tap Network Card.

Select the network adapter you are using for your network 
configuration. For example, use the 802.11b PRISM Wireless LAN 
adapter if your network is configured with an 802.11b wireless access 
point.

If you are using a dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) server, 
select Use server-assigned IP address.
If you are not using a DHCP server, select Use specific IP address and 
enter the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway for your 700 
Series. Your network administrator should provide you with this 
information.

Tap OK. A message appears; tap OK.

Additional Items to Configure
TCP/IP
You need to determine the dcBrowser gateway port number (which 
defaults to 4055) and the IP address of the computer where the dcBrowser 
gateway is hosted.
UDP Plus
You need to determine the UDP Plus port number (which defaults to 
5555) and the IP address of the controller, which is the Intermec 
Application Server or PC that the dcBrowser gateway is running on.
