•  Do not allow any abrasive material to touch the scanner 
window or screen.

There are no user-serviceable parts inside the CK1. Opening 
the unit will void the warranty and may cause damage to the 
internal components. 
Storing the CK1 for More Than 30 Days 
If you want to store the CK1 for longer than 30 days, you 
should turn off the backup battery.  
To store the CK1 for more than 30 days 
1  Remove the battery. For help, see “Removing the Battery” on 
page 8. 
2  To turn off the backup battery, use a straightened paperclip 
to slide the backup battery switch up.

3  Install the battery door without inserting the battery. 
4  Store the CK1 in a safe place. Make sure the temperature is 
within the recommended range. For help, see “Environmental 
Specifications” on page 134.
