Adjusting the Backlight and Checking the Re-
maining Battery Capacity

1) Tap on the Backlight/Battery tab.

When the system is running off of battery power:
The Autocheck button changes the brightness of the backlight when
AC power is connected, in the same way as the “Auto” setting in the
BIOS setup. If this checkbox is checked, the backlight brightness can-
not be adjusted.

The remaining battery capacity is not displayed if the AC adapter/re-
charger is connected.

For details on how to check the remaining capacity of a battery pack,
refer to “Battery Packs” on page 4-1.

NOTE:
The backlight brightness can be adjusted temporarily by holding down the
”right mouse button” on the rear of the pen computer while pressing [LEFT
ARROW] and [RIGHT ARROW]. However, there are some cases where
the brightness can not be set in this manner, and the setting cannot be
saved.
