No Check Character indicates that the imager reads and transmits bar code data with or
without a check character.

When Check Character is set to Validate but Don’t Transmit, the imager will only read
Code 39 bar codes printed with a check character but will not transmit the check
character with the scanned data.

When Check Character is set to Validate and Transmit, the imager will only read Code
39 bar codes printed with a check character and will transmit this character at the end of
the scanned data.

In the CBAR/39/128 tab of Visual Menu, choose a Check Character setting under

Code 39. Click the Write Settings to Device button (

) to send the new setting to the

imager.
