Memory upgrades
Note
The startup page reports how much RAM memory is installed in
the printer.  For information on printing a startup page, refer to
“Printing the startup page” on page A-4.
Benefits of upgrading memory
The Phaser 340 has 8 Mbytes of standard memory.  You can upgrade the
printer memory to 12 Mbytes by ordering a 4-Mbyte SIMM (Tektronix order
number 4690F4M).  Additional memory allows processing of more complex
files.
The Phaser 340 can also be upgraded to a 24-Mbyte configuration that
supports 600 x 300 dpi printing by ordering the 4685F16 16-Mbyte memory
upgrade and Z340ROM or Z340FX upgrade.  The installation of either kit
upgrades the printer to the extended features configuration.  Refer to
“Extended features upgrade” on page B-1 for more information.
