Confidential Transmission
If you do not want your message to be
picked up casually at the other end,
use this feature. The message will be
stored in memory at the other end
and will not be printed until an ID is
entered.
There are two types of Confidential
Transmission:
Default ID
The other party can print the mes-
sage by entering the Confidential
ID programmed in their machine.
ID Override
Should you wish to send a confi-
dential message to a particular per-
son at the other end, you can
specify the Confidential ID that
person has to enter to see that mes-
sage. Before you send the message,
don't forget to tell the intended re-
ceiver the ID that must be entered
to print it.
Limitation
❒ The destination machine must be
of the same make and have the
Confidential Reception feature.
❒ The destination machine must
have enough memory available.
Note
❒ We recommend that you program
the Confidential ID beforehand.
❒ An ID can be any 4 digit number
except 0000.

Set your original and select any
scan settings you require.

Enter the “Confidential TX” func-
tion number with the number
keys.

Transmission type, use one of the
