Problem

Troubleshooting
Possible Solution
• Make sure the Plasma Display is connected correctly. (See page 17.)
• Is the power cord disconnected? (See page 17.)
• Has the power been turned on? (See page 18.)
• Check if you pressed TV   on the remote control unit. (See page 18.)
If the STANDBY indicator on the Plasma Display lights up red, press TV  .
• Check if the power cord is connected correctly.
• Check that you have pressed the TV   on the remote control or the STANDBY/ON button on the
bottom of the Plasma Display.
• Select an input source responding to that particular source.
• Check the picture contrast and brightness settings.
• Check the volume.
• Check the volume.
• Check whether the MUTING button on the remote control has been pressed.
• Adjust the color settings.
• Check that the correct broadcast system is selected.
• Try to identify the electrical appliance that is affecting the Plasma Display, then move it further away.
• Plug the Plasma Display into a different wall outlet.
• Check the direction, location and connections of your aerial. Such interference often occurs due to
the use of an indoor aerial.
• Press the INPUT button to select the Plasma Display or an external device.
• Replace the batteries in the remote control.
• Install batteries ensuring that the <+> and <–> ends of the batteries are inserted correctly.
• Check the angle and distance of the remote control to the Plasma Display. Make sure there are no
obstacles between the remote control and the Plasma Display.
• Check that the correct function button has been pressed.
• Change the location of light sources or the direction of the Plasma Display to avoid glare.
