Adding or replacing a CD, DVD, or diskette drive

If you are adding a drive, locate an empty drive bay.

If you are replacing a drive, go to

Remove the drive bay cover in the front bezel that matches the empty drive
bay you are installing the drive into. To remove the cover, place the front
bezel face-down, then press the two cover release tabs inward.
