Server Unavailable Errors
Both the Microsoft .NET Framework and Internet Information Services (IIS) are installed on my Windows
2000 server, but when I start SMARTsend, I receive a "Server unavailable" error message.

To remedy, perform the following procedure:

Uninstall SMARTsend, IIS, and the .NET Framework.

Reboot.

Reinstall IIS.

Reinstall SMARTsend (the SMARTsend installer loads the .NET Framework.).

After rebooting, SMARTsend should work properly.
403 "Forbidden" Error
I installed SMARTsend on a Windows Server 2003 host. When I start the application I receive a "403

SMARTsend does not recognize IIS FTP service
If the IIS FTP service was installed after SMARTsend was installed, SMARTsend will not recognize the FTP

Unable to install MSDE during installation of SMARTsend
The SMARTsend installer may be unable to install MSDE if multiple security certificates have previously
been installed on the SMARTsend computer. All previously installed certificates must be properly removed
from the SMARTsend computer prior to installation. See Replacing a Security Certificate on page 2-18 for
